Party Time!

On Wednesday my baby turned Two. It doesn’t seem like two years ago I was 38 weeks pregnant, with a toddler, in false labor for the third day in a row. It seems like yesterday. But it also doesn’t seem like he’s been here any less than a lifetime. It’s funny how life plays tricks on you like that. Either way, he’s TWO. And we are so in awe of him and who he’s becomming. We celebrated his birthday in the best way...

The Last Day Of ONE

Today is the last day my little boy will ever be ONE. “How old are you Michael?” “Un” and he holds up ONE chubby little index finger. Tomorrow I’ll teach him how to hold up TWO fingers. And for one fast year that will be his answer when he’s asked how old he is. You are a little mini Daddy. When you are home with me during the day I look at you and just think: “Brenden’s HERE.” You look JUST LIKE HIM. And...

My Girl Is Four

But because it’s not “home” I want to add a personal touch. I had the idea of making homemade party hats. I checked Pinterest and was discouraged to see that everything required a hat pattern printout. I don’t have a printer. And an actual pattern seemed like overkill. There had to be an easier way!...

Always Our Baby

This is a conversation I had with Brenden three years ago and it’s coming true. Our Brielle is almost Four and her life is unfolding before our eyes. October 27, 2013 I was out by myself the other night and Brenden and Brielle hung around the house doing “their thing”. Their thing is very different than what Brielle and I do together. They make forts and huge messes like break stems off of new decorative pumpkins and leave large amounts of...
